Seven games into the Serie C season, both teams come into Monday´s matchup with seven points on the board. 

After failing to win any of their first six fixtures of the campaign, Avellino ended their wait for victory with a 2:1 triumph in their last outing against Foggia. Cosimo Patierno´s double-strike secured a badly needed three points for Raffaele Biancolino´s side. 

Away from home, the Lupi have endured a fairly miserable run of result both at the end of last season and into the new campaign. Since March, Avellino lost five and won just one of their last ten away fixtures in Serie C. By comparison, they had won seven and lost just one of their ten previous road trips.

Crotone come into Monday's Serie A fixture similarly short in form this season. The hosts have picked up just one point in their last three outings since a 2:0 win against Messina in September.
