On the night between Thursday and Friday, Corinthians and Athletico Paranense will face off in the 30th round of the Brazilian Serie A at Neo Quimica Arena in Sao Paulo.

However, their form is a massive reason for concern, as they lost three games in a row. Interestingly, Athletico Paranense just lost in the Copa Sudamericana Quarter-Finals to Corinithians' next opponent, Racing Club. However, elimination from that competition might give them a little help in focusing on survival in Serie A.

Corinthians had their ups and downs lately, but pretty much all of their poor performances came away from home. Additionally, in Serie A, Corinthians won 23 of their 29 points, which is almost 80% of their points in total. The last game against Internacional proved that Corinthians are really dangerous at home. The game ended as a 2:2 draw, but the hosts were a better team and probably deserved all three points.
