Burgos will be looking to continue their great start to the Spanish second division campaign next week when they take on Cordoba away from home.

After back-to-back campaigns in the Third Division, Cordoba were promoted to the Segunda Division after finishing second in Group 2 last season and a move to La Liga will be their next target. Los Califas' first game back in the second tier was a narrow 1:0 defeat to Mirandes last week, but they dominated possession and had 69% of the ball and six shots on target.

Meanwhile, Burgos are competing in the second tier for the fourth consecutive season. The visitors made some improvements last season with a finish in the top half of the standings, having finished eleventh in the previous two campaigns. Bolo's side came from a goal down to win 3-1 at the Estadio El Plantío on the opening day, but Monday's game is unlikely to be easy given their recent struggles away from home.

Cordoba vs Burgos CF Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals

With Monday's game being the first meeting between Cordoba and Burgos, it will be difficult to pick a clear winner but there are likely to be goals.

Cordoba have kept only one clean sheet in their last seven matches, conceding seven goals in all. They scored twice in two of their three competitive home games during that period and as many games ended with over 2.5 goals.

Burgos have also been poor defensively of late, with the visitors failing to keep a clean sheet in their last 16 games in all competitions. Their last two meetings produced at least three goals and I fancy a similar result on Monday.
