The Estadio Monumental David Arellano is the venue for a Primera División contest on Thursday evening as Chilean champions Colo Colo takes on early pacesetters Palestino.

Colo Colo vs Palestino Betting Tips - Colo Colo to Win

Colo Colo returns to Santiago de Chile this week in search of a third successive victory after a narrow 1:0 Copa Chile win against Unión San Felipe on Sunday. Alexander Oroz´s second-half strike secured a second victory in Group B, with Los Albos on course to qualify for the final stages.

Jorge Almiron´s side will be looking to maintain their recent winning form after an inconsistent start to the defence of their Primera División division title saw Colo Colo win two and lose two of their first four league fixtures.

Despite those early-season setbacks, Los Albos remain a formidable force in home fixtures, particularly in the Primera División. Colo Colo won nine of their last ten league matches at Estadio Monumental David Arellano since last July.

The Chilean champions also boast a dominant recent record in matches against Palestino. Colo Colo claimed victories in seven of their last eight encounters, including a 3:2 win in their last matchup five months ago.

Palestino makes the short trip to the Estadio Monumental David Arellano to face their local rivals after a strong start to their league campaign. Sitting top of the division, Los Baisanos picked up four wins from their first five league fixtures, although they did fall to a 3:2 defeat in their most recent match against Concepción in the Copa Chile on Sunday.

While the visitors are in fine form, their recent record against Colo Colo is surely cause for concern. Palestino lost six of their last eight away matches against Los Albos, including each of their last four visits to this venue.

With that in mind, I'm putting my money on Colo Colo to maintain their winning run with a third consecutive victory tipped at Estadio Monumental David Arellano.

Lucas Bovaglio is set to make one or two alterations to his selection on Thursday. Jonathan Benitez and Francisco Montes are tipped to earn recalls to the first XI after both made 45-minute substitute appearances in Palestino´s 3:2 Copa Chile defeat against Concepción.
