Colo Colo returns to Santiago de Chile this week in search of a third successive victory after a narrow 1:0 Copa Chile win against Unión San Felipe on Sunday. Alexander Oroz´s second-half strike secured a second victory in Group B, with Los Albos on course to qualify for the final stages.
Jorge Almiron´s side will be looking to maintain their recent winning form after an inconsistent start to the defence of their Primera División division title saw Colo Colo win two and lose two of their first four league fixtures.
Despite those early-season setbacks, Los Albos remain a formidable force in home fixtures, particularly in the Primera División. Colo Colo won nine of their last ten league matches at Estadio Monumental David Arellano since last July.
The Chilean champions also boast a dominant recent record in matches against Palestino. Colo Colo claimed victories in seven of their last eight encounters, including a 3:2 win in their last matchup five months ago.
