An in-form Cliftonville could make it four wins in a row when they welcome Dungannon Swifts to Belfast this week. Placed 8th and 4th respectively, only four points separate these sides, and with a game in hand, the hosts could close in on their opponents with a victory on Wednesday. 

Jim Magilton´s side have enjoyed a profitable run of form with victories collected in three separate competitions. Having eased to a 2:0 Premiership win against Glentoran last month, Cliftonville secured impressive back-to-back road victories against Crusaders (2:1) in the Irish Cup and Glentoran (1:0) in the League Cup.

Particularly impressive in recent home fixtures, Magilton´s men scored victories in five of their last six games at Solitude. 

The Reds also claimed wins in three of their last four matches against Wednesday´s opponents, including a 4:1 win in Dungannon earlier this season.

Dungannon makes the trip to Belfast after a  disappointing 3:0 home defeat against Ballymena United last weekend.  While still four points ahead of the home side, the Swifts have struggled for consistency in recent weeks with four wins and five defeats recorded in their last ten Premiership fixtures.

Similarly up-and-down on the road, Dungannon fell to defeat in six of their last 14 away fixtures, and with Cliftonville in such a fine fettle, I expect a similar outcome on Wednesday. 

A home win is my only choice at Solitude.
