An out-of-form Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League win when they take on Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Chelsea will be looking  to break a miserable run of form when they take on bottom-of-the-table Southampton this week. 

Having slumped to a late 2:1 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday, the Blues have now lost four of their last five matches, although all four defeats did come in away fixtures.

Back at the Bridge this week, Enzo Maresca´s side will fancy their chances of claiming all three points with victories collected in six of their last eight home fixtures. High-scoring outcomes are usually on the cards at this venue with all but two of their last 15 games at the Bridge seeing over 2.5 goals scored.

Southampton make the trip to London with their situation looking increasingly desperate. The Saints remain bottom of the division with only nine points picked up this season. 

Thirteen points short of safety, relegation is now a near-cert for Southampton, who slumped to a heavy 4:0 defeat against Brighton on Saturday. Ivan Juric´s side have lost 15 and won just two of 19 previous games across all competitions.

Like the Blues, high-scoring outcomes have been frequent in the Saints fixtures. Southampton saw at least three goals scored in nine of their last ten fixtures.

While Chelsea have struggled to find much consistency in 2025, a comfortable home win has to be expected on Tuesday. I´m banking on the Blues to win with a minimum of three goals scored.
