Chelsea face a Conference League test when they face Servette at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening.

Chelsea vs Servette Betting Tips - Chelsea -1 AH

Following a disappointing 2:0 defeat against EPL champions Manchester City, Chelsea turn their attention to European affairs on Thursday, with Swiss opponents Servette standing in their way of a place in the Conference League group phase.

With a bloated squad to deal with and a poor run of form coming into this contest, the pressure is already on new Blues boss Enzo Maresca. Chelsea failed to win three successive friendly fixtures before Sunday's defeat, while they have won just one of their last seven matches this summer.

Still, despite recent issues, it would be a surprise if Maresca´s side failed to take care of business this week. The Blues have won eight of their ten previous competitive home fixtures, although all of those victories were under former boss Mauricio Pochettino

Servette arrives in London having been in up-and-down form over the past month. After three successive victories at the end of July, the Swiss lost three of their next four matches before a 7:1 win against Signal in the Schweizer Pokal on Sunday.

Dumped out of the Europa League by Braga last week, Thomas Häberli´s side also suffered a painful 6:0 defeat against Basel in the Swiss Super League.

Having failed to win six of their last seven away European fixtures, it's tough to see Les Grenats picking up a positive result on Thursday.

While short in form, Chelsea should still have enough quality to claim a comfortable home victory.

Head coach Maresca is likely to rotate his selection on Thursday. Kieran Dewsbury-Hall and Pedro Neto are expected to come into the starting XI.

Reece James is the only injury absentee for the home side. Raheem Sterling is unlikely to feature after being left out of the matchday squad against Man City.
