After a dominant 3:0 win for Chelsea in the first leg, the English team will welcome Legia in the second leg of the Conference League Quarter Finals at Stamford Bridge in London.

Chelsea had a disastrous 2022/23 season, finishing 12th! However, last season, the young Chelsea squad showed some positive signs and are continuing to do so this year. The Blues are sitting in 6th place with 54 points from 32 rounds but just three points away from third place. Since five English teams will get their place in the Champions League next season, it is crucial for them to secure a top-five finish. Their CL chase took a big hit in the last round, winning only a point against injury-infested Ipswich. Meanwhile, in the Conference League, the Blues are a massive favorite to win the title, with the bookies offering odds of only 1.44 for that bet.

Legia Warszawa, a 15-time Polish champion, are the most successful team in the county. However, the popular Legionaries haven't won the title in the past three years and will not change that this year. This season, they are sitting in fifth place with 44 points in 28 rounds - 15 away from the top spot. Even the European sports are pretty far - 11 points away. Their best chance to reach Europe next season is through the Cup, where they will face off against Pogon Szczecin in the Finals.

Chelsea vs Legia Warszawa pick: Chelsea to win and cover the -2 AH spread

In the first leg, Chelsea absolutely dominated the match, winning 3:0 in Poland. The Blues had 4.08xG compared to Legia's only 0.28xG, 72% ball possession, and ten shots on goal compared to Legia's just one. The difference in quality was more than obvious, and it is hard to expect a different outcome in London.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have been incredible, as they have been undefeated in the last nine matches, while winning on seven occasions. To be fair, they haven't had too challenging a schedule, but it is still an impressive record. Also, Chelsea have dominated the Conference League, winning all nine games!

On the other hand, Legia are not a great road team. Since the winter break, they lost four of seven matches against much weaker teams than Chelsea. Considering all the above, we expect the Blues to dominate the match, even though they might rotate the squad as they did in the first leg.

Chelsea team news

Chelsea fans were unhappy after a 2:2 draw in the previous game at Stamford Bridge against already relegated Ipswich. The fans booed the team, and coach Enzo Maresca took some heat from the supporters around the press box. After the game, coach Maresca blamed Enzo Fernandez and Robert Sanchez's long balls for Ipswich's goals.

David Datro Fofana, Wesley Fofana, Omari Kellyman, and Romeo Lavia should remain sidelined with injuries, while Mykhailo Mudryk will remain suspended.
