Celtic have been a dominant force in Scotland in recent years, but their success in the domestic competitions did not translate to Europe. This year, they once again dominating the Scottish Premiership but the Celts desperately want a deep European run after finishing the Champions League appearance in the group phase in the previous two seasons. They are in a good position to secure it, but they need points here. Right now, they are in 21st place with nine points from six rounds - just two points away from dropping out of the top 24 teams. So, a win over the last-placed Young Boys is a must!

Young Boys are playing one of their worst seasons in a very long time. To say that they are underperforming in the domestic league would be a massive understatement. For most of the season, they were in the lower part of the league's table, and it seemed they were without a chance to reach the Championship. Right now, they are in 9th place, six points away from the desired sixth place. And in the CL, they were terrible, as they are one of the three teams that failed to win a single point. So, even with two wins, they don't have a chance to secure the next phase of the competition.

Celtic are in good form, winning four of the last five. But their best games were at home, where they are undefeated this season in 18 matches with an incredible 89% win rate. Interestingly, Celtic played at home against two other teams that haven't won points in the CL (RB Leipzig and Slovan Bratislava) and will play against the third one as well. Against those two, Celtic easily won 5:1 and 3:1, and we expect them to do well against Young Boys.

As we already mentioned, Young Boys are terrible this season, and there is no sign of a change. They lost all six games in the CL while scoring only three goals - 0.5 per game.
