Burgos CF vs Almeria Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

Both teams come into Friday's Segunda Division contest in winning form after victories picked up last weekend. Burgos eased to a 1:0 road win at bottom-of-the-table Cartagena, while Almeria eased to a 4:1 win against Zaragoza. 

Hosts Burgos have picked up form in recent weeks with last weekend's win at Cartagena marking a third successive league victory. Luis Miguel Ramis´s side had won just two of seven previous Segunda Division fixtures. 

Low-scoring outcomes have been frequent at the Estadio Municipal de El Plantío this season. Nine of Burgos´s last 11 home games saw under 2.5 goals scored, with an average of just 1.5 goals scored in their 10 most recent home fixtures. 

While Almeria claimed a much-needed win last weekend, the visitors have seen their promotion hopes fade with a dismal run of results recorded in the past couple of months. Rubi´s men failed to win eight successive league fixtures since mid-January, picking up just five points before their comfortable victory last time out. 

Despite their dip in form, Almeria remain in the promotion hunt. The visitors sit seventh in the division, only six points behind league leaders Levante.

In what is a tough match to predict with too much confidence, a low-scoring outcome seems likely. Burgos rarely see more than two goals scored in home fixtures, and with Almeria not at their best, I expect a tight match on Friday.

Under 2.5 goals is my best bet in Burgos.
