- Kick-off: 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
- Venue: Ashton Gate
Two sides separated by eight places in the English second division meet on Wednesday evening as Bristol City welcome Stoke City to Ashton Gate.
The hosts prepare for this clash after their three-match unbeaten run came to an end last weekend. After beating Blackburn Rovers whilst drawing with Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford United, Liam Manning's side suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Swansea. That defeat not only ended their unbeaten run, but also their four-game home winning streak in the Championship.
Stoke City, meanwhile, didn't play any Championship football over the weekend. The Potters were in the FA Cup, where they held fellow second-tier side Cardiff City to a 3-3 draw after going two goals down inside 19 minutes. Their efforts weren't enough as Mark Robins' men were knocked out of the competition after losing 4-2 on penalties.
Bristol City vs Stoke City Betting Tips: Draw & Over 2.5 goals
Despite sitting nine places above their visitors, Bristol City have struggled defensively and I don't expect that to change this week. Indeed, the Robins have not kept a clean sheet in their last six games in all competitions and shipped four in the last two alone.
Stoke City themselves are also struggling defensively, especially on the road. Mark Robins' side didn't finish any of their last four outings without conceding and bets on over 2.5 goals won in all but one of those games.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- Bristol City vs Stoke City prediction: 2-2

Stoke City team news
Head coach Mark Robins and Stoke City will again be without the services of Belgium born forward Ryan Mmaee this week due to a injury.
Mmaee missed the FA Cup defeat to Cardiff City last weekend due to a muscle he suffered at the beginning of the month and the trip to Bristol will come too soon for the forward.
