Two sides short on winning form square-off at the AMEX Stadium this weekend with Brighton looking to boost their European qualification hopes against a West Ham side now safe from the threat of relegation. 

The Seagulls have endured a difficult run of form, failing to win any of their last six matches, while losing three of four since penalty shootout heartbreak in their FA Cup exit against Nottingham Forest last month. 

After a fine run of three successive victories on home soil, Fabian Hürzeler's side have since fallen to a 3:0 defeat against Aston Villa before a disappointing 2:2 draw against a now-relegated Leicester. 

Despite their dip in performance levels, Brighton will be confident of getting back to winning form against a Hammers side led by former Seagulls boss Graham Potter.

West Ham arrive on the south coast now winless in six PL matches after a 1:1 draw against already-relegated Southampton last weekend. The arrival of head coach Potter has yet to see much improvement in the Londoners performances, with only two wins recorded in 12 PL games played in the past three months.

While the relegation-threat has been eliminated, West Ham find themselves labouring in 17th spot with just 36 points picked up from a disappointing campaign. 

Likely to be a competitive affair, I expect Brighton to have enough motivation to claim the points against a side now with one eye on their summer holidays.

A home win is my best bet at the AMEX Stadium, with the hosts expected to score a minimum of two goals.
