On Tuesday evening, a Premier League side, Brighton & Hove Albion, will welcome a League One team, Crawley, in the Carabao Cup 1/32 Finals at Amex Stadium in Brighton.

In recent seasons, Brighton & Hove Albion have become one of the most stable teams in the Premier League. The Seagulls even played in Europe last year after finishing sixth in the Premier League in the year before the last one. Crawley secured a return to League One after nine years in League Two, where they were mostly a mid-table team. However, even last season, they were not among the best teams, as they barely secured the Playoff spot. Still, they managed to secure promotion from the seventh seed, and their only goal for this season is to avoid relegation. And indeed, they opened the season well, winning six points in three rounds while winning the Carabao Cup 1/64 Finals against Swindon and the first game of the EFL Trophy against Brighton U21 as well.  

Brighton vs Crawley pick: Brighton to win & over 2.5 goals

Brighton & Hove Albion started the season with two wins against Manchester United and Everton while scoring five goals. Their offense really looked good, scoring two against MU and three against Everton, a team that is notoriously hard to score against. So, it is real to expect they can score two or three goals against Crawley, even if the Seagulls rotate the squad.

Also, Brighton were great in the pre-season, winning all four games against solid teams. Additionally, if we count the friendlies and the Premier League games, Brighton won all games, and due to excellent offense, they were over 2.5 goals in five of six matches.

Crawley are in good form as well. They won four of five games this season in all competitions while scoring nine goals - 1.8 per game. Yes, that was against much weaker opponents, but if Brighton rotates a bit, we believe they can score against the Seagulls as well.
