A likely entertaining Premier League contest takes place at the American Express Community Stadium on Friday evening as Brighton takes on Brentford.

Brighton vs Brentford Betting Tips: BTTS / Over 2.5 Goals

Separated by only two points, Brighton and Brentford come together for what promises to be a high-scoring contest on the south coast.

The hosts return to action on Friday after their winless run extended to five matches with a 1:1 draw at West Ham last week. Fabian Hürzeler´s side have not won since a 2:1 win at Bournemouth almost five weeks ago.

The hosts have proven an excellent choice for goal chasers this season with all but three of 17 EPL games seeing BTTS, including each of their last nine.

At the AMEX, eight of the Seagulls last ten games saw both teams get on the scoresheet, while seven of those matches also saw a minimum of three goals scored.

Brentford makes the short trip south having endured a poor run of results in December. Thomas Franck´s side have lost four of their last five matches, leaking 12 goals in the process.

Like Brighton, high-scoring outcomes have been frequent for the Bees. Franck´s men have seen an average of four goals scored in their six most recent matches while six of their last seven away EPL games saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored. All six of those games also ended in defeat for the Bees.

Brighton edged to a 2:1 win when these sides last met at this venue, and a similar outcome seems likely this weekend.

BTTS is my first pick, while I also expect a minimum of three goals scored with the home side likely to bag at least a couple against a vulnerable Brentford defence.
