Braga will be looking to register their second win in Europe this season on Thursday night when they play host to Hoffenheim in Europa League round 6.
The hosts had the task of ending a two match winless streak when they travelled to Leixoes in the Portuguese Cu past weekend. Carlos Carvalhal’s side booked a place in the round of 16 with a 2-0 win, but they aren’t in a good position in Europe. The Arsenalists have managed just one win in six games and sit outside the top 24 places. Hoffenheim also ended a two games winless streak with a surprised 4-3 win over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga last weekend. That victory took Christian Ilzer’s men to four points off the bottom three in the league standings but like Braga, they have not done well in Europe this season. The Kraichgauers have only been on the winning side in Europe just once this season – two draws and one defeat – and shipped five goals in total.

Braga have had no problems when it comes to scoring goals at this ground this season. Carlos Carvalhal’s side scored at least twice in all but one of their last six home games across all competitions and bets on over 2.5 goals were won in as many games.
Hoffenheim are also capale of scoring goals and they proved that with the four goals against Leipzig last weekend. Ilzer’s side also scored exactly two goals in each of their last two Europa League outings.
The previous meeting came in this same competition over seven years ago, with Braga winning the two encounters and both legs produced over 2.5 goals.
