Two sides separated by only one point in the English top flight go head to head this weekend as Bournemouth play host to Brighton.
It’s actually surprising to see Bournemouth above Brighton in the league standings, considering that the Cherries didn’t win any of their first nine Premier League games of the season. Andoni Iraola’s men currently sit in tenth place and safety already secured, they have nothing to play for the remainder of the season.
Brighton meanwhile had a very strong start to the season, winning five of their first six games and that run included wins against Manchester United and Newcastle United. The Seagulls were expected to build on that but things haven't quite worked out that way. Roberto De Zerbi’s side are winless in their last five league matches and failed to score in three of those fixtures.
Betting Tips Bournemouth vs Brighton: Over 2.5 goals
Led by Dominic Solanke, Bournemouth have been terrific in the final third this season. The Cherries failed to score in just one of their last fourteen games in the Premier League but they can do better defensively. Andoni Iraola’s side finished six of their last eight games without conceding and as many fixtures produced at least three goals.
Brighton have also struggled defensively this season. The Seagulls enter this weekend’s clash with just three clean sheets from their last twelve outings. Three of their last five games produced at least three goals and I fancy Sunday’s game to end similarly.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- Bournemouth vs Brighton prediction: 2-2

Bournemouth team news
Milos Kerkez will be unavailable to Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola this weekend due to injury.
The left back received a straight red card in the defeat to Wolves in midweek and must serve a ban.
Ryan Fredericks (calf), Max Aarons (hamstring) and Lloyd Kelly (hip) who are all struggling with injuries are also expected to miss the visit of the Seagulls.

Brighton team news
Pervis Estupiñán came out 13 minutes into the draw with Burnley last weekend due to injury and the defender is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Estupiñán is being accompanied in the treatment room by the likes of Jack Hinshelwood, Evan Ferguson Solly March and Kaoru Mitoma who are also dealing with injuries.
Roberto De Zerbi is expected to make changes to the side that started the defeat to Man City last time out and having featured only as substitutes in that game Simon Adingra and Igor Julio could return to the XI.

- Six of the last eight games of Bournemouth ended with at least three goals.
- Just two of the last five games of Brighton ended with under 2.5 goals.
