A tough-to-call Bundesliga clash takes place in Mönchengladbach on Saturday with neither Monchengladbach or Leipzig showing much form prior to the recent international hiatus. 

The hosts come into Sunday's contest in typically inconsistent form with three wins and two defeats recorded in their last six Bundesliga fixtures. Since the turn of the year, BMG claimed five victories, while also suffering five defeats.

Despite their up-and-down form, Gerardo Seoane's side sit seventh in the division, only five points behind third-placed Mainz and still very much in the race to qualify for the Champions League. Poor home form could prove daming for Monchengladbach, though. The hosts have lost three and won only one of their last five games at BORUSSIA-PARK. 

Goals can usually be expected when BMG are in action. Just two of their last 13 Bundesliga games saw fewer than three goals scored. An average of over three goals per game were scored in those fixtures.

RB Leipzig return to action currently two points and two positions above Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga standings. Like the hosts, Marco Rose´s side have also struggled to find much consistency this season. RB failed to win nine of ten Bundesliga matches before a vital 2:0 win against Dortmund before the international break.

While the visitors have remarkably seen each of their last three away fixtures finish 0:0, a similar outcome seems unlikely this weekend with Monchengladbach so often involved in high-scoring matches.

In the end, I can't pick a winner, but I´ll put my money on this Bundesliga contest seeing at least three goals scored.
