  • Date: 25th September 2024
  • Kick-off: 17:45 UTC +1 / 18:45 CEST
  • Venue: Aspmyra Stadion

Bodo/Glimt will be looking to continue their recent impressive form at the Aspmyra Stadium on Wednesday when they play host to Porto on Matchday one of the Europa League.

The hosts have reached the group stage of a European competition in each of the last four seasons. The only time Kjetil Knutsen's side went beyond the group stage in that spell was in 2021-22, when they reached the quarter-finals of the Conference League. The Yellow Horde will be hoping to repeat that feat this season, but they enter Wednesday's clash on the back of a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Brann in the Norwegian top flight.

Porto meanwhile reached the Champions League round of 16 in each of the last two seasons. The Portuguese side started their 2024-25 campaign on a high, beating champions Sporting in the Super Cup final and have been almost perfect in the Primeira Liga with the team boasting five wins from six league games.

Bodo Glimt vs FC Porto Betting Tips: Both teams to score & Over 2.5 goals

Bodo Glimt will come into this game as the underdogs but the Danish side can’t be underestimated at this ground. Kjetil Knutsen’s men boast eight wins from their last eight home games across all competitions and scored at least three goals in all but one of those fixtures. Glimt’s goal scoring record on European soil is also very good with the Norwegians scoring ten goals in the last ten games alone.

Just one of the last three away games of Porto produced more than two goals but things are often different on the road, with six of their last eight away games on European soil producing at least three goals.

  • Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
  • Bodo Glimt vs FC Porto prediction: 2-2
