An out-of-form Blackpool will be looking to get their League One campaign back on track when they host Northampton at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

Blackpool vs Northampton Betting Tips - BTTS

Blackpool return to League One action this weekend after picking up a morale-boosting EFL Trophy win against Harrogate on Tuesday. Having fought back from two goals down to claim a 2:2 draw, the Tangerines eventually emerged victorious with a penalty shootout victory.

The hosts have struggled to find much winning form in recent League One matches, though. Steve Bruce´s side failed to win any of their last six league fixtures, including a 3:0 road defeat at Leyton Orient last weekend.

Currently 18th in the division, Blackpool have shown better form in home fixtures, with Bruce´s charges picking up two wins and three draws from their last six games at Bloomfield Road.

Entertaining encounters have proven frequent at this venue in recent weeks. Five of Blackpool's last six home League One contests saw both teams scoring, while an average of 3.14 goals were scored across all seven games played in Lancashire since the start of the campaign.

Northampton comes into Saturday's matchup after a heavy 5:2 home reversal against Burton Albion in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday. A mixed run of form has seen the visitors lose three of their last five matches across all competitions.

While unbeaten in four of their last five League One matches, Jonathan Brady´s men sit 17th in League One, ahead of Blackpool on goal difference only.

Back on the road this weekend, high-scoring outcomes have also proven frequent in Northampton´s recent away fixtures. Both teams scored in all but one of their last eight away League One matches. An average of three goals were scored in their last seven games on their travels.

The Cobblers claimed a 2:1 win when these sides last met at this venue, and a similar outcome where both teams net seems likely again this weekend.

BTTS is my only choice for a likely high-scoring League One matchup.
