Italy will be looking to continue their impressive form since the start of the 2024-25 Nations League campaign on Thursday when they face Belgium in Brussels.
It's now almost certain that Belgium's golden generation will pass without winning a trophy. The Red Devils' most recent disappointments came at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and at the Euros. Domenico Tedesco's side have not also had the best of starts to their Nations League campaign with the nation currently sitting third in League A.
Italy have not been the same since their 37-match unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end in October 2021. La Nazionale didn't qualify for the 2022 World Cup and were knocked out of the Euros by Switzerland in the round of 16. Things have changed dramatically since the appointment of Luciano Spalletti as head coach in August last year, though. Italy sit top of Nations League Group 2 with ten points from four games and I will be looking to continue that form this week.
Belgium vs Italy Betting Tips: Draw & Both teams to score
With just one win from their four games played so far, Thursday’s game is a must-win for Belgium and I fancy them to take at least a point to keep alive their chances of finishing in the top two.
The Red Devils scored in all but one of their last four encounters and their goal scoring record against the Italians is also good. Bets on ‘’btts – yes’’ were won in each of the last three meetings between the two nations.
Italy also have plenty of problems defensively. The Blues are without a clean sheet in their last eight encounters and both teams scored in each of the last four.
- Best Tip: BTTS - Yes
- Belgium vs Italy prediction: 2-2

Belgium team news
Thibaut Courtois was absent from the last international break following a dispute with head coach Tedesco over the team’s captaincy and isn’t in the squad.
The goalkeeper is nursing an adductor injury that has seen him missed the last four games of Real Madrid, including the El Clasico.
Charles De Ketelaere, Joaquin Seys, Malick Fofana and Jeremy Doku have withdrawn from the Belgium squad due to injuries.
