A keenly contested Women's Champions League (WCL) contest can be expected in Munich on Wednesday as an in-form Bayern Munich look to kick-off their Group C campaign against Arsenal.
In a competitive looking section also featuring Juventus and Valarenga, both teams will be keen to get their campaign off to a winning start.
Bayern have enjoyed a fine run of form at the start of their new season, scoring seven successive victories with 25 goals scored and just three conceded. Already sitting at the top of the Bundesliga, Alexander Straus´s side will now look to take their domestic dominance into continental competition.
The Bundesliga champions suffered a disappointing group phase exit in last season's competition, largely as a result of a failure to turn draws into victories. Bayern drew all three of their home matches against Roma, Ajax and PSG, before exiting the competition.
Arsenal arrive in Germany having come through the qualification process to book their group phase ticket. The Gunners have been a little less consistent in their start to the season, with points dropped in both of their last two WSL matches against Man City and Everton.
On the road, Arsenal have lost two of their last three away WCL matches, including a 1:0 defeat against Bayern in the first-leg of their quarter-final contest in this competition two years ago. Despite the first leg loss, the Gunners fought back to claim a 2:0 second-leg victory.
A tough match to call, BTTS looks likely with both teams strong on the front foot, but I prefer to take a chance on Bayern maintaining their winning form.
