- Competition: Ligue 2
- Date: Friday, 25th April, 2025
- Kickoff: 19:00 UK / 20:00 CEST
- Venue: Stade Armand Cesari (Bastia)
For most of the season, Bastia floated around the middle of the season. However, recently, they closed the gap between them and the teams in front of them (Annecy, Laval, and Guingamp) after those teams lost most of their games. Right now, they sit in 7th place with 44 points - only four points away from the playoffs. If they succeed in securing the playoffs, that would be their first appearance since they came to the league in the 2021/22 season.
Grenoble are playing their seventh consecutive season in Ligue 2, where they have been primarily a mid-table team. This year, the team from southeast France had a good chance of reaching the playoffs for Ligue 1 but lost three of the last four matches. We can safely say they blew their chance. Currently, they are in 9th place, eight points away from the playoffs, and only three rounds left.
Bastia vs Grenoble pick: Bastia to win
Bastia have been inconsistent for our taste, but most of their poor results lately came away from home. At home, they have been fantastic, winning four in a row while keeping a clean sheet in three of those four matches. They are generally a very strong home team and the only one undefeated at their pitch in the Ligue 2!
Grenoble are in terrible form, having lost three of the last four matches. Their only win in the previous eight matches was against Laval (2:1). Additionally, unlike Bastia, Grenoble are without a motive, which could be a massive factor in this Ligue 2 tie.
In the previous two h2h games at Stade Armand Cesari, Bastia won 3:0 and 1:0. Considering the previous h2h games, Bastia's fantastic home record, Grenoble's poor form and lack of motive, we believe the hosts will secure a comfortable win and move closer to the playoffs spots.

Grenoble team news
After a 2:0 loss vs Dunkerque, coach Franck Rizzetto spoke to the media. He said they had a solid start but failed to score and then crumbled in the second half. "I find us powerless offensively. We have to admit that we have offensive shortcomings," the coach added.
The team should have no new absences, but the players who missed the previous matches should remain sidelined - Bobby Allain, Mamadou Diarra, Samba Diba, Ayoub Jabbari, Nolan Mbemba, Arial Mendy, Loic Nestor, and Saikou Touray.
