An in-form Barcelona will be expected to maintain their winning form when they take on Serie A champions Inter on Wednesday.
While Inter's form has dipped alarmingly in recent weeks, Barcelona will be full of confidence after a dramatic 3-2 win against old rivals Real Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey last weekend. Having fallen behind in the second-half, El Blaugrana showed their never-say-die spirit as they fought back to secure a thrilling victory after extra-time.
Unbeaten in all but one of their last 28 matches, Barcelona now sit four points clear at the top of La Liga, and with one trophy already secured, will be keen to secure a first-leg advantage against their out-of-form visitors.
Strong in their temporary home at MontJuic, Hansi Flick's side have won nine of their last 11 games in Catalonia, and another victory seems likely this week.
Inter arrives in Spain now winless in four matches after a 1:0 home defeat against Roma on Sunday. Since a 2:2 draw against Bayern in the second-leg of their UCL quarter-final contest, I Nerazzurri have suffered painful Serie A defeats against Bologna and the aforementioned Roma. Inzaghi's men also endured a disastrous 3:0 defeat against city rivals Milan in their Coppa Italia semi-final last week.
While not to be dismissed entirely, it's hard to see the out-of-form italians avoiding a fourth successive defeat against such a strong Barcelona side.
A home win is my top tip, with the hosts likely to score at least twice at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
