Two sides leveled on three points after the first two round of matches in the Champions League campaign meet on Wednesday night as Barcelona welcome Bayern Munich to Spain.
Barcelona have been great to watch under Hansi Flick. Barca sit on top of the tree in the Spanish top flight with 27 points from ten games and have won all their five home encounters played across all competitions this season. Things didn’t quite start well for Flick’s men in the Champions League, though. They opened their European campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Monaco in France before demolishing Young Boys by five goals to nothing on Matchday 2 at home.
Bayern Munich meanwhile started their Champions League campaign with a statement win over Dinamo Zagreb in Germany. The Reds became the first team to score nine goals in Champions League history in what was Bayern’s biggest ever win in the competition. However, things unravelled on Matchday 2 as the German giants suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa and Vincent Kompany will be hoping for a response on Wednesday night.
