Saint Etienne continue the chase for French top flight survival on Saturday when they face Auxerre away from home.
The Auxerre faithful have had little to celebrate in the last two months. Christophe Pélissier's men pulled off a surprise performance at this ground on 7 December when they held record champions PSG to a goalless draw. L'AJA followed that up with a 2-2 draw against Lens, but since then they have lost three of their last four matches. Auxerre also failed to score in three of those games, which is agreat concern to their fans.
Saint Etienne meanwhile have not also done much right over the past two months. The visitors won just one of their last seven matches and failed to keep a clean sheet in all seven encounters. That run has kept them in the bottom three, but with only goal difference separating them from Nantes and Rennes, victory over Auxerre this weekend could be crucial.
