Monaco return to action looking to extend their excellent run of away form in 2024. While consistency has proven an issue in home fixtures, Adi Hütter´s side have enjoyed some excellent results on the road, with victories picked up in nine of their last 11 away Ligue 1 contests.

Les Rouge et Blanc have begun the new season in good form, picking up seven points from a possible nine, including a fine 2:0 win at Lyon in August. 

Free-flowing in the forward positions, Monaco scored at least two goals in 11 of their last 12 away matches in Ligue 1. With Auxerre defensively vulnerable, Hütter´s men should be confident of claiming another victory this weekend.

L'AJA returned to Ligue 1 following a one-year absence with a 2:1 victory against Nice on the opening day of the season. However, since that high-point, the hosts have since suffered back-to-back losses against Nantes (2:0) and Le Havre (3:1). 

Monaco claimed a 3:2 win on their last visit to this venue and a similarly entertaining away win seems likely this weekend. 

Going back to their last spell in Ligue 1, Auxerre have seen BTTS in each of their last six home matches and in nine of their last 11 matches in this division. 

Ultimately, given Monaco´s superb away form, and Auxerre´s recent struggles, I'm confidently backing Les Rouge et Blanc to win and to score at least two goals in a game where both teams are likely to net.
