Entertainment can be expected when Bayer Leverkusen make the trip to Ausgburg on Saturday with both teams enjoying some fine results in recent weeks.

The home side have picked up some form after a slow start to the season in Germany. Unbeaten in their last three matches, Jess Thorup´s side return to the WWK Arena this weekend after a hard-fought 2:2 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend. 

Since October, Augsburg have lost just one of eight games played - a 3:0 road defeat at an in-form Bayern Munich - and will feel confident of making life difficult for the visiting champions on Saturday.

At the WWK Arena, Augsburg are usually a tough side to beat. Thorup`s men have lost just one of seven home Bundesliga games this season, with notable victories against Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach among their more impressive results. 

Five of those seven games also saw BTTS, and while the hosts kept clean sheets in their last two home games against Hoffenheim and Bochum, keeping Leverkusen at bay is likely to prove a much stiffer challenge.

Xabi Alonso´s in-form side arrive in Augsburg in high spirits after a dramatic late goal secured a 1:0 UCL victory against Inter on Tuesday. Nodi Mukiele´s injury-time goal made it six wins in a row for the defending Bundesliga champions.

Leverkusen have proven a little less defensively secure this season, especially in away fixtures. Bayer saw BTTS in eight of their last nine Bundesliga road matches, and a similar outcome seems likely with Augsburg strong on their own patch.

BTTS is my first choice for a game that is likely to prove competitive and high-scoring.
