In the last few seasons, Auda have grown into one of the best Latvian teams. After 2024, when they finished third on the table, Auda will try to take another step forward and compete with RFS and Riga FC for the championship title. In the last few weeks, Auda haven't impressed, with only one win out of five friendlies. The lack of quality in quality in attack seems like an obvious problem, as they scored only four goals in those five games.
Last year, RFS finished with three points more than Riga FC for their third title in history. RFS again seems to be the best team in Latvia as the team invested additionally this winter to repeat the success. This winter, RFS also played in the Europa League, so preparations for the new Latvian season were a little different than usual. On the first day of March, RFS opened the season with a 3-1 win in the Super Cup against Riga FC. The teams were even for most of the game, but RFS' much better efficiency was enough for victory.

Auda made a few interesting transfers this winter. Probably the best addition is Kemelho Nguena, a midfielder who came from Riga FC. Nguena scored eight Virsliga goals last season and will have a large role in Auda, too. Important are also the signing of Rafael Pontelo (loan from Sporting CP), Emils Birka (Valmiera), and Roberts Ozols (Qizilqum).

RFS are probably better than last season. They signed Yukiyoshi Karashima, who came from Zalgiris Vilnius. Also, RFS improved their wings with great players for this level, such as Jeremie Porsan-Clemente (who came from Valmiera) and Mor Talla (Auda).
