Bilbao return to action for the first time since their 2-0 Supercopa semi-final defeat to Barcelona this week when they host Osasuna in the Copa del Rey.
The last two matches left Athletic Bilbao in a sorry state. Ernesto Valverde's side only beat second-division Logrones on penalties after a goalless draw in the 32nd round of the Copa del Rey, and they also failed to score in last week's Super Copa semi-final defeat to Barcelona. Los Leones have now won just one of their last four games.
Osasuna beat Tenerife 2-1 in the 32nd round of their own Copa del Re, but that was their only win in over 30 days. Los Rojillos' most recent encounter came last weekend when they visited Atletico Madrid. Vicente Moreno Peris's side extended their La Liga winless streak to seven games with a 1-0 defeat and also registered under 1.5 shots on target for the second time in three league games.
