Atalanta comes into Tuesday's UCL contest knowing only a win will do after last week´s 2:1 first-leg defeat in Belgium. Perhaps unfortunate to lose after the award of a debatable penalty in the dying embers, Gianpiero Gasperini´s side lost just one of eight UCL league phase fixtures before their surprise loss last week. 

La Dea failed to respond on Saturday, having been held to a 0:0 draw against Cagliari, a result that means the hosts have failed to win five of their last six matches since a 2:1 win at Como last month. 

At the Gewiss, Gasperini´s men are usually tough to beat though, with only three defeats recorded in their last 15 matches in Bergamo. A lack of home clean sheets has seen BTTS occur in eight of their 11 home fixtures.

Brugge make the trip to Italy in high spirits after last week´s crucial 2:1 first leg victory. Nicky Hayen´s side are now unbeaten in four matches after showing plenty of spirit to claim a 2:2 draw at Sint Truiden in their most recent runout.

The Belgians away form has not been particularly great, though. Hayden´s men failed to win any of their last four road games, while they fell to defeat in three of their last five away UCL games. 

Like Atalanta, BTTS has occurred frequently in Brugge recent fixtures, both in this competition and in away fixtures. Four of their last five matches saw both teams score, while four of their five most recent away UCL ties saw the same outcome.

While Atalanta should be able to turn this tie around, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Brugge score. A home win and BTTS both look like the best betting angles on Tuesday.
