- Kickoff: 20:00 UK / 21:00 CEST
- Venue: Emirates Stadium (London)
On Tuesday evening, two contenders for the title, Arsenal and PSG, will face off in the second round of the Champions League at Emirates Stadium in London.
Arsenal are still in pursuit of a major trophy, with their last significant triumph dating back to 2003 when they lifted the Premier League title. They were close to winning the PL in the previous two seasons but eventually finished 2nd, behind Manchester City. As for the Champions League, the Gunners are yet to win their first-ever title, and in recent seasons, they were not even close to doing so, as they finished the competition in the 1/8 and 1/4 Finals. Over the summer, the Gunners added some depth and are looking great once again, but it remains to be seen whether it will be enough to win the title. At the start of the season, they look really good and are undefeated in eight games in all competitions. The bookies see them as the fourth favorite for the CL title for a reason, only behind Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayer Munich.
PSG are a dominant force in France, winning ten titles in the last 12 years. However, their goal of winning the first Champions League title is still unfulfilled. Last year, Borussia Dortmund stopped them in the Semi-Finals in a really close duel (2:0 on aggregate). Over the Summer, Kylian Mbappe left the team, and even though that is definitely a massive hit, the Parisians are playing well. They won the first Champions League game vs Girona and are at the top of Ligue 1 with 16 points in six rounds.
Arsenal vs PSG pick: Over 2.5 goals
Arsenal have been fantastic for this type of bet in the last three games, as they were over 2.5 goals on all occasions with an average of 5.33 goals per game. Their offense has looked OK from the start of the season, but as time passes, they are looking better and better. Also, at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal scored two (or more) goals in three of four games. The only time they failed was against Brighton (1:1) when Declan Rice received a red card in the 49th minute.
PSG are in excellent form. They won six of seven games while scoring 21 goals in that period - three per game, which is even better than last year. So, it is fair to expect a goal or a couple for them, even against Arsenal.
Meanwhile, neither team have been great defensively in recent games, which should be a big plus for this bet. Arsenal allowed five goals in the last three games, while PSG had just one clean sheet in the last five matches.
Considering all the above, we expect an exciting game with at least three goals, most likely with both teams scoring.

Arsenal team news
After a 4:1 win over Leicester City in the previous game, coach Mikel Arteta spoke to the media. He was pleased with the performance, especially with the amount of chances they created. The press was mostly interested in his relationship with Pep Guardiola because there were some back-and-forth moments between them, at least according to the media reports. But Arteta dismissed those claims, saying he loves Pep and considers him a friend from whom he learned a lot.
The team should have no new injuries, but the ones who missed the previous games should remain sidelined - Martin Odegaard, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Mikel Merino, Ben White and Kieran Tierney.
