- Competition: FA Cup, 1/32 Finals
- Date: Sunday, 12th January, 2025
- Kickoff: 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
- Venue: Emirates Stadium (London)
On Sunday afternoon, two Premier League giants, Arsenal and Manchester United, will face off in the FA Cup 1/32 Finals at Emirates Stadium in London.
The Gunners changed very little during the Summer, and they are one of the leading candidates for the titles in all competitions they are currently in. Still, they have been without a major title since 2019/20, when they secured the FA Cup title. In the PL, they are second with 40 points - six points away from the first-placed Liverpool and with a game played more. This season looks like a replay of the previous two, but instead of Manchester City, they are struggling to keep up with Liverpool this season. Arsenal are coming to this game after losing 2:0 in the first leg of the Carabao Cup Semi-Finals against Newcastle and will be highly motivated to bounce back with a win.
It seems that Manchester United are only getting worse with every move they make. Due to a bad season, the Red Devils decided to change the coach, and most football pundits expected a lot from coach Amorim. Unfortunately for them, that did not happen, far from it, as they look like a mid-table team at best. Considering they are already 12 points away from European spots, and since they were eliminated from the Carabao Cup, maybe their best chance of reaching Europe is through the FA Cup or the Europa League.
Arsenal vs Manchester United pick: Arsenal to win
Arsenal just lost against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup, stopping their 13-game unbeaten run. But even against Newcastle, the Gunners were a better team, and we believe they deserved a win. Also, at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners have been excellent this season, as they have a 73% win rate in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is in terrible form, winning just one point in the last five matches, even failing to score in three of those five matches. To be fair, they drew 2:2 against Liverpool in the last game and surprised everyone. However, that was just one game, and our impression was that Liverpool deserved a win.
In the previous h2h games, Arsenal absolutely dominated, winning the last four.
Simply, Arsenal have been much better than MU through the season, and considering all the above we expect a comfortable win for the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal team news
After a 2:0 loss against Newcastle, coach Mikel Arteta spoke about the loss. The coach blamed the loss on "tricky" balls for that competition. Because they are using balls that "fly a lot." Most football laughed at his words, but Arteta also said that Newcastle were super efficient with the chances they had, unlike them.
The team should have no new injuries, but Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Ethan Nwaneri, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.

Manchester United team news
According to speculations, Casemiro is very close to leaving the club and joining some of the big Saudi Arabian teams. The 32-year-old Casemiro isn't in coach Amorim's plans, and this move would make sense for both sides. MU would probably receive around 25 million £.
Mason Mount, Victor Lindelof, and Luke Shaw will remain sidelined with injuries, while Marcus Rashford, who missed the previous game with an illness, will most likely be available.
