Angers vs Reims Betting Tips -  Angers to Win/Under 2.5 Goals

An in-form Angers look a solid bet to claim a place in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France when they host Reims this week.

The home side comes into Sunday's contest after an entertaining 3:3 draw at Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday. Bamba Dieng´s stoppage time penalty rescued a point for Les Noirs et Blancs.

Alexandre Dujeux´s side have enjoyed a decent run of form in recent weeks, winning seven and losing just two of their last 11 matches across all competitions.

Recent matches at this venue have been closely fought, with each of Angers last four home fixtures seeing under 2.5 goals scored. A similarly tight encounter seems likely this week with Reims struggling to find much goal-scoring form this year.

Reims make the trip to Angers having endured a miserable run of form in Ligue 1. Samba Diawara´s men failed to win any of their last 12 league fixtures. Six of their last eight league matches ended in defeat, with the only bright spots coming their CDF run which has seen them eliminate Monaco and Bourgoin-Jallieu via penalty shoot out victory. 

On the road, Reims failed to score in any of their last three fixtures, and with Angers enjoying a strong run of form, it's hard to see the away side emerging victorious this week.

In the end, a low-scoring outcome seems likely, and I also fancy the hosts to secure their spot in the semi-finals. A home win with under 2.5 goals scored is the top value bet on Tuesday.
