The Air Albania Stadium is the host for an intriguing UEFA Nations League clash on Saturday evening as Albania takes on Czechia.

Everything remains all to play for in League B, Group 1, with all four nations still in contention to claim promotion to League A, or suffer relegation to League C.

An improving nation who showed their courage at Euro 2024 last summer, Albania kept their promotion hopes alive with a vital 1:0 win against Georgia in October, and coming into this match, sit third in the section, tied with the Georgians on six points. 

Recent Nations League matches in Tirana have been entertaining. Albania have seen BTTS in four of their last five home fixtures in this competition since 2020 and something similar seems likely against an in-form Czech side.

Czechia, who sit at the top of the section, claimed seven points from their first four fixtures including home wins against Albania and Georgia. The Czechs then scored a 1:1 draw against Ukraine in their most recent runout last month. 

Goals can usually be expected when Czechia are involved. Fourteen of their last 18 games saw BTTS including each of their last six road games over the past year. 

It is worth noting that of the four games that did not see BTTS, two came against the Albanians. However, a more open contest is expected this weekend with both nations knowing the importance of picking up all three points.

It's tough to pick a winner, but I do think both teams can score in what should prove an evenly-balanced affair in Tirana.
