After a 4:1 win for Ajax in Poland, the Dutch team will only need to finish the job against Jagiellonia in the second leg at home at Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.

Ajax, the 36-time Dutch champion, came to this season after one of the worst seasons in the club's history. They finished fifth, with only 56 points after 34 rounds - an incredible 35 points behind the eventual champs, PSV. Over the Summer, they changed the coach, and their fans hope for a better season this year. In the pre-season, they looked good and continued with good performances in the Europa League Qualifiers as well. Meanwhile, Ajax were half-successful in the domestic league, winning one and losing one match.

Jagiellonia had an absolutely incredible last season, winning the first Ekstraklasa title in 104-year-old history. They were on a level with points with Slask but won the title due to better h2h stats. If we take into consideration that they almost got relegated in the 2022/23 season, this title is even more incredible. The general impression is that they massively overachieved last season, and it is very hard to expect another similar season. However, they had a fantastic start to the season, winning five in a row. Unfortunately, after that great start, Jagiellonia lost five in a row and will have an almost impossible task of overcoming a three-goal deficit against Ajax.

In the first game in Poland, Ajax won 4:1 while absolutely dominating the match. They had ten shots on goal, compared to Jagiellonia's just one! Ajax even had a chance to score their fifth goal but missed the penalty about 12 minutes before the end.

This season, Ajax won five of seven matches in all competitions and have won three of four in the Europa League Qualifiers. Meanwhile, Jagiellonia are in absolutely terrible form, losing five in a row while allowing 16 goals - 3.2 per game.
