An exciting game awaits on Thursday night when Ajax and Besiktas meet in the opening round of the 2024-25 Europa League group stage.
Ajax have been a shadow of their former selves since the departure of the now United boss Erik ten Hag. All the three away games the Turkish side played produced four goals and I don't think we will experience a different outcome this week.
Ajax have had plenty of joy upfront in their last two games at this ground. The Dutch side scored at least three times in their last two games at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and their recent matches on European soil have also been entertaining, with bets on over 2.5 goals winning in each of the last two.

Youri Baas will be unavailable to Ajax boss Francesco Farioli this weekend due to injury and the hosts have many other names in their treatment room.
Most notably is Steven Berghuis who had five goals and eight assists in the Eredivisie last season.
The pair is being accompanied in the treatment room by the likes of Gastón Ávila and Sivert Mannsverk who are dealing with muscle injuries.

Necip Uysal is set to miss the trip to Holland due to a cruciate ligament injury but the defender is Besiktas’ only injury concern for this clash.
The visitors will continue to rely on the services of the 2019–20 Serie A golden boot winner Ciro Immobile who has scored six goals in seven games across all competitions for the Turkish side.
