An accumulator bet (alternatively, “acca” or “parlay”) is a type of bet that consists of several individual bets put together in a betting slip and relies on all these bets winning to be successfully redeemed. Therefore, if any single bet in the accumulator loses, the whole slip is deemed lost. In order to adequately compensate bettors for taking this risk, the final odds in accumulators are determined by multiplying the odds of each individual selected bet.

The accumulators are divided into different types based on the number of involved bets (also known as “legs”). Double, Treble and Quadruple accumulators contain 2, 3 and 4 selections respectively. Five-fold, Six-fold etc. have 5-6+ bets. More advanced options like Trixie, Yankee, Heinz etc. have multiple accumulator systems within, with several (usually two) selections needing to win to turn a profit.

But profit is actually a weak spot for accumulators because they involve a lot of luck for successful long-term betting. Many bookmakers have minimum odds requirements for accumulators making it so that you can’t reliably bet on favourites. Even if you can find these bets, a betting accumulator with one-sided matches will not bring you lots of profit due to how low odds of each bet are, and the very nature of betting does not guarantee a win at all. This makes accumulators one of the less consistent options for betting, and we recommend trying them solely for the fun and the thrill of it.

How the odds’ multiplication works

The total odds for an accumulator are the result of multiplication of odds of the selected outcomes. The bookmaker will always automatically do it for you.

Example of odds multiplication
Match Odds Odds for each leg
MFK Chrudim vs Chlumec NC 1.75 (win 1) 1.75
Cardiff City vs Mamelodi Sundowns 3.25 (draw) 5.68
Ishoej IF vs Holbaek 1.54 (win 1) 8.76
Dinamo Zagreb vs Vardar 6.33 (draw) 55.44
Schwaz vs SPG Silz / Moetz 1.46 (win 1) 80.95

You can also check beforehand if bookmakers run any accumulator-related promos which introduce more numbers into the equation making the outcome more profitable.

Best bookmakers for Accumulator bets

Where to find today’s football acca tips?

If you’re interested to learn more and try accumulator betting, and looking for a way to find upcoming accumulator tips for tomorrow, we welcome you to bookmark this page and visit on a regular basis. We usually publish 4-5 acca variations for your consideration, and you’re free to choose and mix and match them as you want if some of the options aren’t to your liking.

Please also keep in mind that, while parlays require some luck, betting blindly is still a quick way to lose money. The recommended approach is to exercise caution and foresight. Bet on teams and leagues that you are familiar with and don’t base your bets solely on the titles of the playing teams without knowing any of the pertaining details.

The important details are also why we recommend sticking with “accumulators for today”. Data for today is always fresh and relevant. This includes injuries, team rosters, player form, latest odds and any other useful information that you can look at before creating an accumulator.

While we still offer accumulator options for different days in advance, they are a fair bit riskier because things can happen in the meantime that will make your selections less likely to perform. A single training injury can transform a favourite into an underdog, and you will lose money because of something that didn’t even happen yet at the time of placing a bet. That’s why it’s much safer to act on today’s football predictions, as you can be sure that all of the information is up to date.

Don't like gambling at odds any lower than five? Then accu bets are for you. Try to find a good balance between bets on favourites that won't give you that edge if you get them right, and bets with high odds but also with a high risk of losing the whole acca bet.

How to create an accumulator

Accumulator creation is a streamlined process, nearly identical for all bookmakers.

  • Log into your account;
  • Find the Sports section;
  • Select a bet (go to your sport, choose a market to bet on, click on the button with chosen odds);

The selected bet usually appears on the right side of the screen if you’re on a desktop PC, or at the bottom of the screen on mobile devices.

Choose another bet by repeating the selection process. It will be added to the betting slip, with total odds already multiplied. Repeat until you’re satisfied with the accumulator.

Please note that bookmakers normally disallow placing multiple bets on markets within a single match, so you may have to find other matches for your acca.

  • When you are done, input the deposit amount;
  • Press the big bright button that will place your bet, provided that you are logged in and have enough funds on your account.

What is the difference between jackpots and accumulators

While accumulators and jackpots seem similar at the first glance, they provide very different amounts of control over the included bets. Their difference is that you can modify and choose accumulators, but at the same time jackpots are predetermined by the provider, and you can’t do anything about it. For jackpots, bookmakers also take an additional margin (a fee of sorts) that goes into the jackpot. The outcome is that, should your jackpot win, the winnings will be considerably larger compared to an accumulator with the same bets.

Advantages and disadvantages of accumulators

  • Limitations
  • The more legs are in an accumulator, the harder it is to win
