- Competition: Coppa Italia
- Date: 5th February 2025
- Kick-off: 20:00 UTC / 21:00 CET
- Venue: San Siro
AC Milan will be looking to reach the semifinals of the Coppa Italia for the first time since 2022 when they welcome AS Roma to San Siro on Wednesday night.
The hosts beat Sassuolo 6:1 to get this far, while Roma also enjoyed a 5-star show with a 4:1 win over Sampdoria in their own round of 16 tie.
Milan finished runners-up in the Italian top flight last season and would certainly have hoped to challenge for the title this term. Things have not gone according to plan for the Rossoneri, who currently sit outside the European places in Eighth. They have enjoyed some success in cup competitions this season, though. Sérgio Conceição's side secured a play-off spot in the new Champions League format and also beat Inter 3:2 in the Supercoppa final last month.
Roma have also struggled domestically this season. The visitors sit just four points below their hosts in the league and have the fifth-worst away record in the division. However, the Yellow and Red have shown grit and character under new boss Claudio Ranieri. Last time out, they battled to the wire to earn a point against leaders Napoli and extend their unbeaten run in the league to seven games.
AC Milan vs Roma Betting Tips: Both teams to score
Both sides are currently in fine attacking form, with the hosts having scored in all but one of their last eleven matches and Roma having scored in nine of their last ten.
Meetings between AC Milan and Roma are also famous for producing goals at both ends. Betting on Btts - Yes has won ten of the last eleven meetings and I fancy a similar result on Wednesday night.

AC Milan team news
Milan are set to be without the services of Alessandro Florenzi this week due to a cruciate ligament injury and the defender isn’t the hosts’ only injury concern.
Emerson Royal and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are also rule out for the visit of Roma on Wednesday with calf and muscular injuries, respectively.

Roma team news
Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri is expected to make a number of changes to the side that was on the pitch from kick-off in the draw with league leaders Napoli last time out.
Having been reduced to just a substitute last weekend, Artem Dovbyk who has scored in three of his last four games is among those expected to return to the XI.

Three reasons we expect both teams to score in this game
- Roma didn’t finish any of their last 13 away games without conceding.
- Milan finished just one of their last five home games without conceding.
- Both teams scored in 10 of the last 11 meetings between Milan and Roma.
